Meet Isla - Our Foundation Golden Retriever Female

We are excited to introduce Isla, our lovely foundation female. Isla is a beautiful example of the golden retriever breed. She is incredibly patient and tolerant with children and adores meeting all people, but calms down easily and is content to lie around the house. She has the classic, low maintenance, “wash and wear” coat that isn’t overly fluffy but dries and cleans easily after swimming and playing outside.

Health Testing and Certifications/Titles:

Isla is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is fully health tested as recommended by the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) and has her Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) number as well as pertinent genetic testing done through Embark to screen for heritable diseases. We are committed to breeding healthy golden retrievers to the best of our ability and take these tests and screenings seriously.

Isla has completed her canine good citizen certification (CGC) as well as a trick dog title for fun (TKN). She has shown in conformation (winning best puppy at 6 months) barn hunt (winning high point at her first show) and has been through some agility training.

Isla loves to swim and hike and is biddable, tolerant, eager to please, and a wonderful family pet. We are so excited about what she will contribute to our breeding program. She is such a lovely girl who we hope will stamp her puppies with her classic golden temperament and disposition.
